Kaalaiyan, a devoted village president in Thanjavur known as "Annaatthe" by his community, shares an inseparable bond with his younger sister, Thanga Meenatchi. When she elopes with her lover to Kolkata against the wishes of her family, she finds herself trapped in a dangerous situation orchestrated by a ruthless corporate criminal.
