After a disastrous movie shoot leads to him being fired, the world’s most famous St. Bernard, Beethoven, begins a long journey home with his trainer, Eddie. Their trip takes an unexpected turn when they become stranded in a small coastal village named O'Malley's Cove. While there, Beethoven befriends a young boy named Sam who is on a quest to find a legendary lost pirate treasure. Using his keen sense of smell and clumsy charm, Beethoven helps Sam follow an old map, eventually bringing the entire community together to save the town from a bumbling imposter and a greedy real estate developer.
