Set four years after the terrifying events of the first encounter, the story follows a traumatized teenage survivor and his sister as they are once again targeted by a sadistic masked entity. Although the antagonist was previously defeated, his influence persists from beyond the grave, manifesting through eerie psychic visions and supernatural calls on a disconnected rotary phone. To end the cycle of violence, the siblings must confront the dark mythology of a cursed winter camp and face a killer whose power has only grown more formidable in the afterlife.
