Changeling

Set in 1928 Los Angeles, this gripping drama follows Christine Collins, a single mother who returns home to find her nine-year-old son, Walter, has vanished. When the corrupt LAPD "returns" a boy five months later claiming he is her son, Christine immediately realizes he is an impostor. Despite her protests and physical evidence, the police department gaslights her and eventually forcibly commits her to a psychiatric ward to protect their reputation. Based on the harrowing true events of the Wineville Chicken Coop murders, the film depicts Christine’s relentless battle against a systemic conspiracy and her unwavering hope to discover the truth about what happened to her real son.
