Set in 1945 during the British Raj, the film follows a brilliant British secret agent named Devil who is dispatched to the Madras Presidency to investigate the mysterious murder of a Zamindar's daughter. As Devil meticulously unravels the crime using Sherlockian deduction, he discovers that the murder is merely a facade for a much larger political conspiracy involving Indian National Army (INA) moles and secret communications intended for Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
