Dolphin Tale is an inspiring American family drama based on the true story of Winter, a young bottlenose dolphin who loses her tail in a crab trap and is brought to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for care. An empathetic boy named Sawyer bonds with her, and with the help of a dedicated marine biologist and a skilled prosthetics specialist, they work to develop a prosthetic tail that allows Winter to swim again, teaching lessons about hope, friendship, and perseverance.
