A widowed mother, Violet (Meghann Fahy), goes on her first date in years, only for the night to spiral into terror when anonymous messages start dropping into her phone. As the messages escalate from innocuous memes to lethal threats — including to her young son and sister — Violet is forced to obey horrifying instructions, questioning whether her charming companion Henry (Brandon Sklenar) is friend or foe.
