Based on true events, Foxcatcher tells the dark and chilling story of Olympic Gold Medalist wrestlers Mark and Dave Schultz and their tragic relationship with the eccentric multi-millionaire John du Pont. Seeking to step out of his celebrated brother's shadow, Mark moves to du Pont's sprawling estate to train for the 1988 Seoul Olympics under the benefactor's "Team Foxcatcher." However, as du Pont’s psychological instability and obsessive need for control begin to surface, the environment turns toxic, leading to a downward spiral of paranoia and a shocking act of violence that forever scarred the world of sports.
