Gandhi Tatha Chettu

Set in a rural Telangana village in the year 2000, Gandhi Tatha Chettu follows a spirited 13-year-old girl named Gandhi who is deeply inspired by her grandfather Ramachandrayya's steadfast commitment to Mahatma Gandhi's core principles. When an influential corporate liaison named Satish attempts to pressure the local villagers into parting with their lands for the establishment of a chemical factory, Ramachandrayya resolutely refuses in order to safeguard a cherished tree on his property. Following her grandfather's passing, young Gandhi takes up the mantle of protecting the tree against mounting pressure from the village and corporate forces, waging an inspiring, non-violent struggle anchored in truth and peaceful resistance.
