John Garrity, a structural engineer, finds himself in a desperate race against time to save his estranged wife, Allison, and their young son, Nathan, as a planet-killing comet named "Clarke" hurtles toward Earth. After being selected for an emergency government evacuation, the family is separated by chaos and logistical hurdles, forcing them to navigate a crumbling society filled with panic and both the best and worst of humanity. Amidst falling comet fragments and an impending extinction-level event, they must fight their way to a rumored sanctuary in Greenland before the largest fragment strikes and obliterates civilization.
