Hedda

A bold modern re-imagining of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play Hedda Gabler, the film follows Hedda (Tessa Thompson), a newlywed woman trapped in the lavish but suffocating life she has married into, whose restless ambition and past passions are reignited when her old lover Eileen returns. Over the course of one charged evening in a grand estate, Hedda manipulates the guests, provokes destructive games of power and desire, and ultimately sets off a spiral of betrayal and emotional ruin.
