Henry's Crime

Henry (Keanu Reeves) is an aimless tollbooth collector in Buffalo who finds himself wrongfully imprisoned after being coerced into a bank robbery. While serving his time, he meets Max (James Caan), a veteran con man who inspires him to finally find a purpose in life. Upon his release, Henry decides that since he has already "done the time," he might as well "do the crime" and plans to rob the exact same bank. His elaborate scheme involves tunneling through an adjacent theater, but the plan hits a comedic snag when he is forced to join a stage production of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard and unexpectedly falls for the lead actress, Julie (Vera Farmiga).
