Rod Kimble is a self-proclaimed stuntman who has never successfully landed a jump without a spectacular wipeout. His primary motivation is gaining the respect of his hyper-masculine stepfather, Frank, who refuses to fight Rod until he proves he is a "man." When Frank falls ill and requires a $50,000 heart operation, Rod hatches his most ambitious—and dangerous—plan yet: he will jump fifteen school buses on a moped to raise the funds. Flanked by his loyal, eccentric crew and his neighbor Denise, Rod embarks on a journey of training montages, physical comedy, and sheer resilience to save the man he wants to eventually defeat in a fair fight.
