Madagascar

Madagascar follows four pampered zoo animals from New York’s Central Park Zoo — Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo — who have lived all their lives in captivity, performing for the public. When Marty, yearning for freedom, escapes the zoo, the others follow, and their journey leads them inadvertently onto a ship bound for Africa. But the ship is hijacked, and they wash ashore on the wild island of Madagascar. Suddenly thrust into an unfamiliar wilderness, they must figure out how to survive in the wild while staying together and discovering new sides of themselves.
