Raja is an utterly lazy young man who refuses to work because his astrologer uncle predicts that a life of immense wealth and luxury is written in his destiny without any effort. When he accidentally crosses paths with Shalu—the spirited daughter of a strict, multi-millionaire businessman named Badri Prasad—he falls deeply in love and courts her into marriage. However, disapproving of Raja's lazy disposition, Badri Prasad challenges him to step out of his comfort zone, earn his own fortune, and prove his worth before he can claim Shalu's hand.
