Narivetta

Inspired by the real-life 2003 Muthanga incident in Kerala, the narrative centers on Varghese Peter (Tovino Thomas), an aimless young man who reluctantly joins the police force and gets assigned to a tense tribal region in Wayanad. Mentored by senior constable Basheer (Suraj Venjaramoodu), Varghese finds himself caught in a web of state-sanctioned violence and administrative conspiracies when local authorities orchestrate brutal measures to crush an indigenous land-rights movement. As high-ranking officials frame innocent protesters to justify state aggression, Varghese is forced to confront systemic corruption and choose between blind obedience to authority and standing for truth alongside the marginalized community.
