About Paan Singh Tomar
Based on the true story of an Indian soldier and athlete, Paan Singh Tomar chronicles the life of a gifted steeplechase runner who set an unbroken seven-year national record while serving in the Indian Army. Following an early retirement, Tomar returns to his village in the Chambal Valley, only to find his ancestral land unlawfully seized by an influential relative. When pleas to local authorities and law enforcement fail due to systemic corruption, escalating violence culminates in the brutal murder of his mother, pushing Tomar to take up arms. Transforming into a feared rebel and bandit (baaghi), he wages a relentless war of vengeance and survival against injustice until a fatal confrontation with police forces.
