Primitive War

Primitive War is a 2025 Australian science‑fiction action‑horror film directed by Luke Sparke and based on the 2017 novel by Ethan Pettus. Set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War in 1968, the story follows an elite recon unit dubbed “Vulture Squad” who are deployed into a remote jungle valley to investigate the disappearance of a Green Beret platoon. What begins as a military rescue mission rapidly turns into a terrifying fight for survival when the squad encounters de‑extinct dinosaurs unleashed by a clandestine scientific experiment.
