Red Sonja

Based on the iconic comic book character, this 2025 reboot follows the nomad barbarian Red Sonja (Matilda Lutz) as she seeks justice for the destruction of her homeland, Hyrkania. After being captured and enslaved by the tyrannical Emperor Dragan (Robert Sheehan), Sonja is forced into the blood-soaked gladiator pits of a sprawling empire. To reclaim her freedom, she must unite a disparate group of outcasts and fellow slaves to wage war against Dragan and his lethal consort, Dark Annisia (Wallis Day). The film blends gritty sword-and-sorcery action with a journey of self-discovery as Sonja evolves from a vengeful survivor into a legendary leader of the oppressed.
