Shyamsunder, a naive but talented villager with a passion for music, moves to the city to find success and eventually marries Divya, the daughter of a wealthy music company owner. His life takes a chaotic and hilarious turn when he discovers that his first wife, Pooja—whom he believed had perished in a tragic flood—is actually alive and has arrived in the city. To avoid breaking either woman's heart or causing a scandal, Shyamsunder, with the help of his friend Muthuswami, embarks on a frantic double life, constantly switching identities and locations to keep his two wives from ever meeting.
