Viren (Abhay Deol) and Aditi (Ayesha Takia) are brought together by their families for a potential arranged marriage, but Viren rejects the proposal to pursue his secret girlfriend, Karen. The rejection sparks a bitter feud between their families, yet Viren and Aditi unexpectedly cross paths again and strike up a genuine, easygoing friendship. As they navigate their respective complicated relationships—including a trip to Goa where Aditi tries to help Viren win over Karen—they slowly realize that the spark they were searching for elsewhere was actually between them all along.
