Son of Rambow

Set in the English summer of the early 1980s, Son of Rambow follows Will Proudfoot, a quiet boy from a strict religious background where television is forbidden. His world is transformed after meeting the school's rebellious troublemaker, Lee Carter, who exposes him to a pirate copy of Rambo: First Blood. Inspired by the film, the two form an unlikely friendship and set out to create their own amateur action sequel using a borrowed home video camera. As their imaginative stunts and filmmaking ambitions grow, their bond is tested by school rivalries and the arrival of a charismatic French exchange student, making for a nostalgic and heart-warming tale of childhood creativity.
