Set eleven years after the initial bug invasion, Colonel Johnny Rico is called back into action when a Federation starship, piloted by Captain Lola Beck, crashes on the desolate planet OM-1. As religious fervor sweeps through the Federation and a treasonous element threatens the war effort from within, Rico must lead a rescue mission to save the stranded crew and the Sky Marshal.
