In the summer of 1979, a group of young friends in a small Ohio town are filming a DIY zombie movie on their Super 8 camera when they witness a catastrophic and suspicious train derailment. As the U.S. military quickly descends upon the town to secure the wreckage, a series of inexplicable disappearances and terrifying supernatural events begin to unfold, suggesting that the train's cargo was far from ordinary.
