The Key Game

The Key Game (El juego de las llaves) is a 2022 Spanish romantic comedy directed by Vicente Villanueva, based on the popular Mexican TV series of the same concept. The film follows four long‑time couples whose lives and relationships are upended when a younger, adventurous girlfriend suggests a party game: everyone drops their house keys into a bowl and then randomly draws a set — obligating each person to spend the night with whoever’s keys they pick. What starts as a provocative and humorous experiment soon leads to revelations about desire, monogamy, identity, and the true nature of love and fulfillment, challenging each character’s assumptions about their relationships.
