The Odyssey

After the Trojan War, Odysseus, king of Ithaca, begins a perilous journey home after years away from his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. His voyage becomes an epic struggle against supernatural forces and mythical dangers, including the Cyclops Polyphemus, Circe, Calypso, violent seas and the Underworld, while back in Ithaca Penelope faces mounting pressure from suitors seeking to take Odysseus's place. Eventually returning in disguise, Odysseus reunites with Telemachus and confronts the suitors before facing the consequences of his long, violent journey.
