The Rite

Inspired by true events, The Rite follows Michael Kovak, a skeptical American seminary student who travels to the Vatican to attend an exorcism school despite his own deep-seated doubts about the supernatural. While in Rome, he is sent to apprentice under Father Lucas, an unorthodox veteran priest who has performed thousands of exorcisms. As Michael witnesses phenomena that science cannot explain, his skepticism is pushed to the breaking point, forcing him to confront a terrifying demonic force that threatens his faith and his life.
