The Shack

The Shack tells the story of Mackenzie “Mack” Phillips — a husband and father whose life shatters when his youngest daughter is abducted during a family camping trip. Years later, still devastated and questioning everything he believed, Mack receives a mysterious invitation signed “Papa” (his late daughter’s nickname for God), urging him to return to the abandoned shack where the tragedy occurred. Reluctantly, he goes — and instead of horror, he finds a covenant of love, healing, and spiritual truths: God appears in human‑form, and through surreal and tender encounters, Mack is guided through his grief, guilt, anger and loss.
