The Shepherd

On Christmas Eve in 1957, young Royal Air Force pilot Freddie Hooke sets off from his military base in West Germany to fly home across the North Sea for the holidays, only to suffer a catastrophic electrical failure that knocks out his radio, radar, and compass. Disoriented above dense cloud cover with fuel rapidly depleting and hypothermia setting in, Freddie faces almost certain death until a vintage World War II de Havilland Mosquito appears out of the fog. The mysterious pilot silently guides his crippled jet through the darkness down to an abandoned wartime airfield, where Freddie is left to unravel the miraculous true identity of his savior.
