The Silence

Based on a true story, the film follows a young woman named Chini who witnesses a disturbing incident of harassment on a Mumbai suburban local train, which violently unlocks traumatic, long-buried memories of sexual abuse from her rural childhood in Konkan after she was sent to stay with a wealthy relative. Through interwoven timelines and the lived experiences of three affected women, the narrative confronts societal taboos, the psychological aftermath of violence, and the complicit silence surrounding systemic exploitation within families.
