Tighee

Tighee centers on the delicate, fractured relationships between an elderly mother, Hemlata, and her two adult daughters, Swati and Sarika, who reunite under one roof in Pune when their mother becomes terminally ill. While elder daughter Swati struggles with mounting debt and persistent workplace harassment from her predatory employer in Mumbai, younger daughter Sarika grapples with personal frustration after stalling her professional ambitions to serve as their mother's primary caregiver. As domestic tensions and buried grievances resurface, the women are forced to confront an unsettling family truth about the long-concealed absence of their father, leading to profound emotional reckoning, mutual reconciliation, and personal closure before their mother's final departure.
