Tron: Ares

Set fifteen years after the events of Tron: Legacy, the story follows Ares, a highly sophisticated and sentient program designed by Julian Dillinger of Dillinger Systems to be an expendable soldier. In a race for corporate dominance and technological "permanence," Ares is sent from the digital Grid into the physical world on a mission to retrieve a legendary code once held by Kevin Flynn. However, as Ares experiences human reality—from the sensation of rain to the complexity of music—he begins to develop self-awareness and empathy, eventually rebelling against his creator to protect ENCOM CEO Eve Kim. The film culminates in a neon-drenched showdown between digital life and human ambition, questioning whether a being made of code can truly possess a soul.
