Set in the haunting landscape of 1950s Tuscany, Verena is a determined nurse hired to help Jakob, a young boy who has fallen into absolute silence following the sudden death of his mother. As Verena resides within the family's isolated stone castle, she observes Jakob’s eerie fixation on the walls of the estate, believing his mother’s spirit is calling to him from the very stone.
