A Cinderella Story

A modern-day twist on the classic fairy tale, A Cinderella Story follows Sam Montgomery, a high school student living under the thumb of her vain stepmother and mean-spirited stepsisters while working at the family diner. Sam finds an escape through an anonymous online romance with a pen pal known as "Nomad," with whom she bonded over their shared dream of attending Princeton University. When she discovers her secret admirer is actually Austin Ames, the popular high school quarterback, she flees their meeting at the Halloween dance, leaving behind her cell phone as the only clue to her identity. The film culminates in Sam finding the courage to stand up for herself and pursue her own happy ending, proving that "never letting the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game" is the key to true success.
