ABE

Twelve-year-old Abe is a budding Brooklyn chef caught in the middle of a volatile cultural divide, being the son of a Jewish-Israeli mother and a Muslim-Palestinian father. While his family constantly clashes over religion and politics during every meal, Abe finds an escape by apprenticing under Chico, a Brazilian street chef who specializes in fusion cuisine. Inspired by the idea that different flavors can coexist harmoniously, Abe attempts to use his newfound culinary skills to create a "Semitic Thanksgiving" dinner, hoping that the perfect meal can finally bridge the long-standing animosity between his two families.
