Archive

Archive is a near-future sci-fi drama set in 2038. It follows scientist George Almore (Theo James), who is working on a human-equivalent AI. After his wife Jules dies in a car accident, her consciousness is stored in a device called “the Archive,” allowing him limited contact. Obsessed, George secretly begins developing a robot capable of carrying her mind permanently. As he advances through successive prototypes (J1, J2, and finally J3), emotional, ethical, and existential tensions rise — especially when one of the early models becomes dangerously jealous. What begins as a quest to resurrect a loved one becomes a chilling meditation on grief, identity, and the boundaries between human and machine.
