Badhaai Do

Badhaai Do is a heartfelt and socially relevant dramedy that revolves around Shardul Thakur—a closeted gay police officer—and Suman "Sumi" Singh—a lesbian school teacher—both facing intense familial pressure to marry. In an attempt to avoid unwanted expectations, the two enter into a "lavender marriage." However, maintaining the facade becomes increasingly complicated when their respective same-sex partners move into their home, and both struggle with secrecy, societal norms, and their own identities.
