In the summer of 1999, Carly, a metalhead science prodigy, and his younger brother Mateo prepare to move from Colombia to the United States for their final years of high school. While Carly dreams of attending the Georgia Aerospace Institute and working for NASA, his parents see the move as an escape from political turmoil and a chance to chase the American Dream.
