Boundaries

Laura Jaconi is a single mother and compulsive animal rescuer who is forced to drive her estranged, marijuana-dealing father, Jack, from Seattle to Los Angeles after he is expelled from his nursing home. Accompanied by her bright but troubled son Henry and several of her rescue dogs, Laura embarks on a cross-country road trip in Jack's vintage Rolls-Royce. Unbeknownst to her, Jack uses the journey to distribute his large supply of weed with Henry’s help, leading to a series of eccentric encounters and a chaotic reckoning with their dysfunctional family history. As the miles pass, the three must navigate their fragile emotional boundaries and decide if reconciliation is possible after years of disappointment and abandonment.
