Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a 2009 animated sci‑fi comedy about an earnest but struggling inventor named Flint Lockwood, who creates a machine that can turn water into food. At first, the invention seems like a dream come true as it sends a downpour of mouthwatering treats raining from the sky, saving his struggling island town. However, things quickly go awry when the machine goes out of control, producing gigantic food weather that threatens to bury the world.
