Don Jon

Jon Martello is a strong, handsome, good old-fashioned guy who prioritizes a few things in life: his body, his pad, his ride, his family, his church, and his boys. However, his most intimate relationship is with pornography, which he finds more satisfying than any real-life encounter. When he meets the beautiful and idealistic Barbara Sugarman, who is obsessed with the romance of old Hollywood movies, Jon attempts to change his ways to accommodate her. Despite his efforts, he continues to struggle with his addiction and the unrealistic expectations both he and Barbara have inherited from media, eventually finding an unexpected connection with Esther, an older woman in his night school class who helps him see intimacy in a new light.
