Doosra

Set between 1991 and 2002, Doosra: India's Other Freedom Struggle is a docu-fiction drama that weaves two parallel narratives: the transformation of the Indian national cricket team leading up to their historic comeback victory in the 2002 NatWest Series final at Lord's, and the private rebellion of Tara, a young girl navigating the rigid constraints of a patriarchal household in Rajasthan. As Sourav Ganguly's defiant celebration becomes a national emblem of self-belief, the watershed sporting moment inspires Tara to find her own voice, confront deep-seated societal prejudices, and claim her personal independence.
