Set in a desolate near-future where environmental decay has ravaged the planet, Hen and Junior live a quiet, solitary life on a remote farm that has been in Junior's family for generations. Their peaceful existence is shattered when an uninvited stranger named Terrance arrives with a life-altering proposal: Junior has been selected to travel to a large experimental space station orbiting Earth for two years. To ensure Hen isn't alone during his absence, the corporation plans to replace Junior with a biomechanical duplicate.
