Frances Price, a penniless 60-year-old Manhattan socialite, decides to spend the last of her remaining inheritance on a final, eccentric escape to Paris. Accompanied by her directionless son Malcolm and their family cat, Small Frank—who Frances believes embodies the spirit of her deceased husband—the duo settles into a borrowed apartment to live out their twilight days.
