Gangs of Wasseypur: Part 1

Set against the backdrop of the coal-mining town of Dhanbad and spanning decades from the twilight of the British Raj to the late 20th century, the film chronicles the fierce generational blood feud between two ruthless clans. Following the betrayal and murder of bandit Shahid Khan by scheming trade union leader turned politician Ramadhir Singh, Khan’s son Sardar swears vengeance. Sardar Khan rises through the ranks of the underworld to become Dhanbad’s most feared crime boss, igniting a bloody cycle of revenge, power struggles, and betrayals that envelops his wives, sons, and rival gangs.
