Hereafter

Hereafter weaves together three parallel stories of people forever changed by death and the possibility of life beyond it. In San Francisco, George (Matt Damon) — a factory worker with the uncanny ability to communicate with the dead — struggles with whether to use his gift. In London, a schoolboy (Frankie and George McLaren) becomes desperate to contact his twin brother after a tragic accident. Meanwhile, French journalist Marie (Cécile de France), having survived a catastrophic tsunami and a near-death experience, wrestles with her altered perception of reality. As their lives intersect, each confronts grief, loss and the fragile boundary between life and what might lie beyond — leading them toward healing, acceptance, and the possibility of connection beyond death.
