About Kai Po Che!
Set in Ahmedabad at the turn of the millennium, three ambitious close friends—Ishaan, an ex-district cricketer; Govind, a business-minded tutor; and Omi, the nephew of a local politician—join hands to establish a sports shop and cricket training academy to nurture local talent. When Ishaan discovers Ali, an exceptionally gifted young Muslim batsman, he dedicates himself entirely to developing the boy's potential. However, their dreams, livelihoods, and deep fraternal bond are shattered as the monumental tremors of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake and the devastating sectarian violence of the 2002 Gujarat riots put their loyalties, values, and survival to the ultimate test.
