Karnan

Set in the 1990s in Southern Tamil Nadu, Karnan follows the residents of Podiyankulam, an oppressed village systematically denied a basic bus stop by local authorities and a neighboring dominant-caste village. The titular protagonist, a hot-headed and courageous youth, becomes the symbol of resistance when he stands up against police brutality and institutional neglect to fight for his people's dignity.
