Set in Mumbai, the film follows Sanjay Chaturvedi and Karina D'Souza, two ambitious bank employees desperate to escape cramped family quarters and own their own home. Because neither qualifies individually for an affordable joint-housing scheme, they concoct a strategic marriage of convenience despite coming from vastly different cultural backgrounds and entangled personal lives. As they navigate the chaotic realities of real estate bureaucracy and conflicting family expectations, their transactional arrangement gradually blurs into genuine romantic affection.
