Maa Behen

Set in a conservative North Indian neighborhood, the film follows Rekha, a glamorous and outspoken single mother whose life takes a chaotic turn when a late-night mishap with an intrusive local moral guardian results in an accidental death. Forced to urgently summon her estranged and bickering daughters, Jaya and Sushma, the trio finds themselves tangled in a dark web of compounding misunderstandings, suspicious relatives, wedding festivities, and a missing persons investigation. What begins as a desperate attempt to manage a crisis slowly evolves into a sharp and witty dark comedy that satirizes societal gossip culture and the relentless policing of women's lives.
